Webmail Code behind revisited

Hello all... I looked through the forum, but didn't see anything recent regarding webmail code behind. I know the API is (or will be) available to build a webmail client. However, we don't really want to build a complete app. In v 1.2 we made several basic modifications to make the system work in a ...

Error!-Could not delete Inbound Message - MAJOR PROBLEM

Anyone have a clue about the error above? This message is appearing when a personal filter is invoked. The filter is a very basic check the subject line for "[Probable SPAM]" and if found, move the email to the Junk Mail folder. I have a similar filter that has the same issues that is set to delete ...

New features coming???

Hi all.. I'm curious if there are plans for MailEnable to step up to the plate and answer the latest version of SM Enterprise. I am very intrigued by the latest SM as it has some very nice enterprise/groupware features. I've been a long time MailEnable user, but we have been wanting to offer this fe...

My Fix:

I had to add the IME_ users into the Administrators group and then run the MEInstaller program.
I'm not sure, but I wonder if the user needed to be admin to properly set the rights?

Dunno, but it worked for me.

True fault tolerance isn't achieve with the backup MX... but you have a point that the central File/DB server for the server files could be a single point of failure.

What does ME recommend to get around that single point of failure?

There was talk at one time of some Outlook integrations with ME via an Outlook Plugin. (A piece of software that when installed on the client machine will connect Outlook to the server).
I think one of the topics was a shared address book or a shared calendar.

Outlook Addin

Hi,
Is there any word on the progress and perhaps ETA for Outlook plugins?
I recall seeing some old posts about it, but haven't heard any info.

Does anyone know anything, this is really a needed addition.

You could set up a bogus domain... e.g. internal.yourdomain.com Change their email addresses so they only are user@internal.yourdomain.com and take off the user@yourdomain.com address. Using that, only internal users would be able to send to them. You WOULD NOT want to make internal.yourdomain.com h...

Restrict Access to Group Emails

Does anyone have any idea how we might restrict access to group emails? I would like to be able to create a filter that would delete a message if the recipient is a group and the sender isn't from a certain post office. This would eliminate the possibility of spam going to a group of All_Employees. ...

Enterprise Release

I know this has been covered in various other messages but...

Does anyone have a clue as to the release of the latest version of Enterprise?

Hi Ben,

Any ETA on these plugins?
Are they included with the latest Enterprise beta?

My customers have issues with the address book functions.
If I can offer a hook into outlook, I won't need to leave MailEnable.
If not, I'm going to have to use a different product.

Thanks!

I tried that, but it still doesn't add it in.
I don't get any errors (like the KB mentions), it is just missing that section.

Missing Webmail settings in MailEnable Management Console

I was trying to follow these steps from the documentation: 6.7.4 Configuring Web Mail for Multiple Sites MailEnable allows you to configure Web Mail for each IIS web site hosted on your server. To enable Web Mail on multiple web sites on your server, a virtual directory must be created for each Web ...
