SmartHosting ignored for authenticated relay / Disabled accounts still active?
Two for one question. We have Smart Hosts setup on the a server (10.27) for some domains. We have some ranges of IP addresses which are allowed relay (whitelisted) without auth. It seems that when a message is sent to the SMTP server without authentication (I'm thinking this is the issue) the smart ...

Re: Redirect status not updated in database
Hey Ian,
Your question prompted me to look at the provider configuration and I see now that TAB are active, not MSSQL so that answers that question. Sorry for not realizing that. My issue, not MailEnable.

Redirect status not updated in database
Regarding this post: https://www.mailenable.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22665 We use the MSSQL database option. When I change a redirect parameter in the MailEnable program the SQL database table does not change. The TAB file does change properly. Is there some delay here? I was trying to figure out t...

External spam filtering, incoming IP restriction
We are using spamhero.com as a provider. To prevent rogue spam bypassing the MX records we need to lock down the incoming SMTP connections ONLY for the customers who have subscribed to this service. For our MDaemon hosting we can easily bind each postoffice to an IP address. So all spam filter domai...

High memory usage on svchost.exe and MEIMAPS.exe
We have a pro install, latest version, running 10 or so domains, 50 or so users, very moderate usage. 8GB memory on the machine, 8 cores, ESXi guest, Windows Server 2k8 R2. Server and ME have been up for probably a few months, no reboots, no restart of services. Today I look as I am adding a domain ...

Re: Create post office from webadmin?
Thanks Ian. That seems like it should be a basic feature. Would it be something that could be added in a future release?

Create post office from webadmin?
That seemed like a fairly common task, to allow our admins to create postoffices from the web admin but I'm not finding it. Is this not a feature?

Migration from MDaemon + Cluster Setup & WebsitePanel
We're finally making the leap from MDaemon to ME. What we have setup for ME right now is a two server cluster, both servers are identical in as much as one is a copy of the other. The first was setup as a cluster member with shared storage and SQL account storage. The second was literally cloned in ...

Forward to AOL, Marked As Spam, My IP in Feedback loop
Granted, I hate AOL and would rather not forward to them but users are users. So user has a forward setup from bob@domain.com to bob324324@aol.com .... gets email forwarded to his AOL account and marks it as spam. We then get the feedback loop message from the AOL postmaster that reports abuse from ...

Outlook alternatives?
I've done some exhaustive searching and have, myself, found 4-5 clients touted as "outlook replacements"... I don't know yet if any of them actually have the capability to replace Outlook in an exchange environment. However, we are slowly moving to a ME environment and I think the opportunity there ...

Re: Reminder/Alarm not working
Ugh.. stupid forum timeout. I had a good detailed post going and submitted it timed my session out. Anyhow, now you get my brief post. I had the same issue, tested in a new profile and confirmed it works for the first MAPI account in a profile. Any additional accounts give the reminder notification ...

Cool, sounds good. Any idea what font it is? I'm assuming if I had it I could just install it?

MailEnable / SM Comparisons - Coming From MDaemon
Running MDaemon right now... many complaints with it, but I'll digress. I've narrowed down my new server to SM and MailEnable. Both seem like great products and have a lot of great features. Here are some of my considerations and my impression of the implementation on each platform. Any feedback or ...
