Re: Exclude providers like Gmail, AOL, etc from greylististi
I am aware that IP ranges can be excluded. The problem is that the server farms of the big providers are very dynamic which makes it a very cumbersome task to manually maintain IP ranges for each of these providers. In the meantime I will instruct my clients that are complaining the most to whitelis...

Exclude providers like Gmail, AOL, etc from greylististing
We have greylisting enabled on our MailEnable Enterprise Server to reduce spam. It is making a noticeable difference in the spam we receive and the statistics show that it helps prevent about 49% of spam we receive so it is very important. Unfortunately this means that sometimes delivery of mails to...

Re: How to install GoDaddy SSL certificates for MailEnabled
Thanks for your response. It turns out that my CSR was wrong so the certificate I got from GoDaddy only has Server Authentication and Client Authentication in the "Certificate Purposes" when I view the certificate in MMC. I expect that an appropriate certificate type would include "Secure Email" und...

How to install GoDaddy SSL certificates for MailEnabled
I am trying to set up SSL and TLS on our MailEnable server. We are using GoDaddy as our certification authority and have purchased a certificate. There are various download options for the certificate - one is able to download certificates for Microsoft Exchange, IIS, Plesk, Apache, etc, etc, but Ma...

GTube Spam Message gets delivered despite high Spam Score
I am using MailEnable 8 Enterprise Edition and I've set up the mail filters to use SpamAssassin. I now want to test that it is working and I have found http://spamassassin.apache.org/gtube/ that specifies a line to include in a test mail that will cause SpamAssassin to classify the mail as spam. I h...

Re: This message has been partially recovered because an err
The exact same thing happens with our server. The specific user is using Paradox as e-mail client, but on Webmail he also gets the message "Could not get message". We are using MailEnable 8 Enterprise Edition. This discussion was never resolved. Ian or someone else - how do we solve this?

Messages are blank after moving to different IMAP folder
When using a client that connects to MailEnable via IMAP it happens that when a user moves a message from their Inbox to a different IMAP folder, the message is moved but becomes completely empty. The "from" fields, "subject" fields as well as the message content just appears as blank. This happens ...

Re: Spamassassin not appearing as option under Message Filte
Let me just wrap up this issue for any future people who might stumble on this thread. We eventually logged a support ticket and MailEnable support fixed the server for us so I unfortunately don't have the exact details of what worked. Their feedback, however, said that they had to delete the "Admin...

Re: Spamassassin not appearing as option under Message Filte
Thanks for the clarification, Scott. I understand what you're saying. I noticed that the location and name of the .msc file changed in version 7. When I run the old one from "D:\Program Files (x86)\Mail Enable\bin\MailEnable Enterprise.msc" I get the old console and when I try to run the new one fro...

Re: Spamassassin not appearing as option under Message Filte
Actually the KB article I am referencing explicitly says that it is for version 7.0 and later :) And looking at the features of version 7 one of the new features is indeed integration with Spamassassin. The problem is that somehow this is not appearing in my Management Console. I have noticed that s...

Spamassassin not appearing as option under Message Filters
I have just upgraded to MailEnable Enterprise version 7.53 after I saw that it now contains integration with Spamassassin. I followed the knowledge base article http://www.mailenable.com/kb/Content/Article.asp?ID=me020596 and installed Spamassassin-in-a-box. I have tested and the Spam Assassin proce...

[ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired occasional error
I am using MailEnable Enterprise Edition version 6.53 and our configurations are stored in a MS SQL SERVER 2008 R3 database. We are experiencing an occasional error where MailEnable seems to be unable to connect to the database. The symptoms of this is that when we have a group e-mail address define...

Email address is not available on the system occasional err
I am using MailEnable Enterprise Edition 6.53. On one of my PostOffices I have a group address set up with 5 members in the group. Under normal circumstances when someone sends a mail to this group then the mail gets successfully forwarded to all 5 members in the group. However, every now and then w...

Re: User's e-mail disappears off server
It might be worth mentioning that a while back we did a migration from the old mail server to this newer mail server. We ran the migration utility at that point to migrate mail to the new server. We have also been having several spam attacks lately and had to increase filtering for spam messages by ...

Re: User's e-mail disappears off server
The first two times I also ascribed this to a probable user error. However, this seems to be a recurring issue on this user's account. He also isn't your typical "1di0t user" and understands the differences between IMAP, POP3, etc. He can also not be ignored, since he happens to be the business owne...
