WebMail Branding Issue?

The only place i see my branding in webmail is on the login page and when logged in, however, when timed out, on error pages, and in web admin, the branding goes away completely. Did i miss a configuration option?

Session Timed Out / Branding

Branding works, but i've noticed that if your session times out, it goes back to the MailEnable logo rather than the branded logo. Reproducing this is simple. Setup a custom login_logo.jpg for the domain, make sure it works and shows up on the login page. Then login, and wait for the server to time ...

Re: Version 11

Here's a list of what i'd like to see: Better Spam Filtering Options . Such as blocking by IP and/or UserName, make it a choice.   Notification options for administrators . This would allow admins to configure emails to inform them when certain actions are happening on their server. Such as multiple...

Chat History in v10 / Multple chats with same person?

Question 1: When users use the Chat tab in webmail, they have the option to load older messages (chat history), but when that link is clicked, the chat history is loaded out of order and not everything is there. Is this a known issue or do I have something configured wrong? Question 2: I jumped into...

Block Images/Links

Outlook has a pretty good feature when opening emails with images and/or attachments where it will block the images and prevent users from clicking on the links until the user clicks a link at the top saying that the email is safe. I was wondering if MailEnable has a feature similar to this? I've lo...

Re: Block repeated failed connections by IP

To take this setting a step further in the "Smart" direction, any accounts blocked by an IP address that has been banned for these actions would be automatically unlocked since the attacker has been banned.

Re: Fighting Hackers

Blocking IP addresses on SMTP would be a good solution. The best way that I can think of to block these is to have something that will block failed connection attempts by IP address. ME would count each consecutive failed login attempt by the IP address rather than the username, so lets say users a...

Re: Fighting Hackers

I have the same issue is tomr, even though i have the ylmf-pc blocked, but thats not the only attacker, there are several others with varying EHLO/HELO names after it. It seems as though the computer name after EHLO/HELO commands, the IP addresses, and the usernames they login with are completely ra...

Block repeated failed connections by IP

More often than not, hackers try multiple accounts one after the other until the account is blocked, then they move onto another set of user names until blocked, then another, and another, and another. The problem with this is the accounts are being blocked, not the attacker, but the purpose is to b...

Re: Fighting Hackers

Apparently I did block this and completely forgot. I used EHLO blocking in the SMTP properties > Security Tab > Configure Blocks. No wonder they disappeared!

Re: Fighting Hackers

Does the actual abuse (the one with repeated attempts) seem to come from the same class C IP address? Does it appear to come from a specific geography? You can enable the Windows firewall to help with these attacks from these ideas. My list contains classes A, B, and C IP addresses, no multicast IP...

WebMail Activity - Attachments?

So I was in WebMail working on something that required me to have an email with an attachment open for awhile. At one point, i needed the attachment so i clicked it to download it, and after viewing the attachment, webmail had disconnected me. Does downloading an attachment not count towards activit...

Before i go any further, here's a snippet of the SMTP activity log that is in question (i've changed my domain to local.server in the log, i've also taken out the long nam...

Re: Invalid Email Account Login Attempts

I believe it... For the last couple years i've been using MMC. I add the IP Security Policy Management snap-in and block IP's through there. There's several problem with this: 1) It doesnt notify you if you are entering a duplicate. I dont see duplicates happening but if the filters were to fail for...
