Hi Martyn

After writing this post i did do some looking, and found that I had mefilter set up as an MTA and a filter so I reduced this to just an MTA, although it seems to be filtering even less now.

Hi All, OK, I've set up ME Filter based on some settings i found somewhere, but now cant find that info. When i first set up ME filter, it did start to filter mail. Not a lot, but some. I assumed this was due to the fact that I wasnt using the licenced version and thus not getting the full benefits ...

Waited two weeks for MEFilter Serial......

I've now waited two weeks for a serial number for my MEFilter install so I can get it working to its full potential and after emails and posts in his forum I have had no response whatsoever.

SO, I need an alternative solution. Open to suggestions please.

Something with an interface would be nice.

OK, I know why I wasn't getting the 554 errors as it wasn't set up to reject the mail. Anyhow, still would like to monitor it.

Mmmm,

OK, im not seeing any 554 errors in the SMTP activity logs. What could be the reason for this?

The reason I wanted the emails "marked" and not deleted straight away was so I could monitor them for false positives for a few days.

Mmm, sorry was a level too low. However it is marked as move to junk folder, but the junk folder is not created so they are not being moved.

What i really want is for the subject to be changed to SPAM::<SUBJECT> and delivered to the inbox

Hi Ian

When i click right click on the properties window in Mailenable Messaging filer, all I get is the Logging and Scratch Directory, nothing to do with SPAM.

OK, I think it's semi working I can now see in the debug file that it is catching mail and im getting the message saying "message marked as spam" However, when i'm seeing these email in the inbox there is nothing to say they have been marked as spam.
