Re: POP3 download problems with Outlook

Ok I've found a workaround for my specific problem I think. I have added the "Everyone" group with full control to the one postoffice folder having this problem and then the send\receive worked fine with no error. I remove the permission and the error comes back. So I have run the meinstaller and us...

Re: POP3 download problems with Outlook

I'm getting now also. I have just moved servers due a hardware failure. Whilst the old server had no problems, the new install is giving me the 0x800ccc90 error, the message says "The server responded: -ERR Message unavailable"

What is going on here???

Webmail Install

Hello, I've had to move servers. I have reinstalled MailEnable and restored the Config folder, postoffices etc and everything within MailEnable appears to be working, however when I go to install Webmail to a different domain, I don't see all the domain in the Site Selection box. When I run option 2...

Just be aware that it is actually user@postoffice so, if the postoffice name does not match the email domain name (there is no requirement that they do match) then it would be wrong to enter the actual email address. We, for example, have the company name as the postoffice name and it is not the sa...

Username should say Email Address

Some of my resellers and client are saying that the Username prompt on the Webmail login page is confusing. Aside from the default postoffice option, everyone else needs to use their email address in order to login so the login form should say Email Address and not Username - it doesn't help people ...

I do not have any support vouchers on my account. Since I have purchased the upgrade I assume this support will not need a token purchase since the upgarde clearly hasn't worked correctly even though the diag reports the server is working.

I've run the diag. Aside from usual post office disabled and service not started errors (HTTPMail and Management) there are only two warnings and one fail: ISAPI Filters Custom ISAPI Filter Test Warning: A custom ISAPI filter "IISPassword Filter", "C:\Program Files\IISPassword\\IISPasswordFilter.dll...

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your reply.

I'll run the diag tomorrow however could you expand on the permissions issue. Exactly what permissions are needed, for what user accounts, and where within the file system?

If I can get this info I can double check this too.

Regards,
David.

You'll need to provide more details.

What exactly isn't working. What happens when you try to access wedbmail?

What install steps have you performed?
