Hi Ian,
This user is not on any known access control list. The IP / Vector they are coming from is not blocked. Could there be something else potentially blocking them? What kind of logs would assist in the troubleshooting?
Mike

Unable to Receive E-mail From Specific Domain
Hello, I am running Mail Enable 9.16 Professional. I have a domain that is attempting to send an e-mail to us and is coming back with the following error: SMTP error from remote server for GREETING command, host: xxxx reason 530: denied access. I don't see a greeting command as a form of saying hell...

Issue with Spamming
Having an issue with spamming. Someone keeps sending e-mail on our owners behalf to multiple vectors. I have attached logs in hopes someone can tell me how I should or shouldn't proceed. If I require to open a ticket so be it but it hasn't been a problem for many years until today. They have at this...

Re: GeoIP not fully functional
Hi Green, I have that same problem by that same host ylmf-pc and it was able to make connections even after I blocked him from multiple attack vectors and subsequently sent a bunch of unsolicited mail. My solution to this was to do EHLO block of "ylmf-pc" in the registry (pre 9.0 release). It basica...

Re: Isn't ME9 a free upgraded for 8.6 users?
If you recently re-upped your AUP you have to log into the license portal on the Mail Enable proper website and choose upgrade on your existing license. It will say 'zero cost' upgrade. It will then upgrade your license automatically. You will get a new license code you have to apply once installati...

Re: Recipient Denied: has no PTR. Result 9003.
Hi tc_olsen, If you run your own AD DNS services the best way around it would be to create your own PTR record in DNS locally and should resolve your issue. I've done the same to get around this issue. Be sure to go into your DNS forward zone, right click on the domain space folder, choose "Other Re...

Upgrade Issues with Mail Enable 9 (Webmail)
I just wanted to let you guys know that while the upgrade overall went ok I was losing my mind wondering why Web mail wasn't working after the initial upgrade. It would bring me to the webmail log in page but when attempting to log in would just throw some random .NET error immediately saying for mo...

Re: Host screening by ELHO/HELO initial conversation
Clearly I'm just not getting the concept here. I went ahead and created the string value and have it presented like this. Tried with quotes in string value, without quotes. Restarted the SMTP service, nothing. See below. Did I do this right? I'm at a loss. It's not blocking it either way. This is ju...

Re: Mail Spamming to other Domains
Hi Ian,
Do I make it a DWORD key ? QWORD? Regular key? Multi String?
Do I put quotations in or leave them out?
I.E
Blocked HELO=WIN-0INGADLBBCN
or
"Blocked HELO=WIN-0INGADLBBCN"
tried as a DWORD key and restarted SMTP service and to no avail didn't work. I use 8.60.

Re: Host screening by ELHO/HELO initial conversation
Hi Bob/Brett, Ian pointed me to this article to do a very similar procedure on a bot or spammer using the EHLO command. Did this registry key already exist for you guys or did you have to add it? What exact arguments did you put in? What options did you use below? (I have a windows 2012 R2 box). I'm...
