I think the problem is GoDady isn't going to let anything out port 25 of their firewall unless you are going through their relay. They want to make it difficult for you to send mail any other way. Also, GoDaddy has more than enough IPs they should just stop using that IP for sending mail. If it is r...

Upgrade to V3 if you want to reduce spam, the greylisting alone is worth it.

I have virtually eliminated 99.9% of spam from my customers inboxes.

I was having a big problem with V2. I was blocking thousands of messages every day, but a lot where still getting through.

Brad, Thanks for the update. I just tested my own mailbox with 5000 items in it accross and it took 15 seconds to load (from clicking the login button to being able to read the first message). It may be some sort of permission problem or perhaps a registry key for caching or something that is missi...

It's the same problem, I had it as well.

I fixed it by going into Windows Services and changing the MESMTP service to run as Local service account instead of IME_SYSTEM.

Somewhere the permissions didn't get set correctly because of the error on windows server 2003 in the install (mentioned above).

The size of the mailbox should not really be the principal factor in the speed to which webmail loads - it is moreso the amount of jscript the client needs. I am using the same computer and signing on with different accounts. If the account has a large inbox the website will hang right after login....

that is exactly the problem.
However, I thought ME was doing this during the install.
Doesn't the installer warn this may take a while (while setting permissions) ?

Tell them to turn on the preview pane and get used to it.
Then and all their other complants are taken care off except the summary page issue which isn't a big deal anyway.

I am having the same problem with users who have over 500 messages in their inbox.

Even 10-15 seconds is unexceptable for my customers to wait.
