Ian,

Nope - won't run via command prompt - mediag - just sits there.

I am still on 10.24 - I understand that 10.25 is now available - should I upgrade and try again? Would that be valuable to you?

1024 Update - Diagnostics won't run

Open to ideas - maybe a bug?

Updated to 1024 - had to uninstall that kb (chat service wouldn't stop) - updated successfully.

Now diagnostics just sit there and won't run. It does appear that Mailenable is running correctly, but the diagnostics hanging makes me nervous

Ian,

I'm still on version 9.53

In the IMAP logs, I see many failed login attempts. Occasionally I see authentication, like this morning when I saw one user's account get hacked - German IP - all messages downloaded.

So this version doesn't allow me to disable IMAP? I need to upgrade?

We've seen an increase in hackers using IMAP interface to hack POP accounts. IMAP or POP is automatically turned on in Mailenable, so I find no way to limit account login to just POP/SMTP protocol. I haven't experienced the issue since upgrading - I'm on 8.58 and it's running perfectly. Support DID find a corrupted email that seems to have been the culprit for the MEMIS high cpu usage. That and upgrading solved my problem. I'm on 4 core cpu as well with no issues. I'd try upgrading to the late...

I opened a ticket, #30646, I didn't see a place to attach files - but when I got the automated email I attached the log files and gave the same explanation as above.

Hopefully they will see something.

Ian, I've got the logs for you here. High CPU started 11PM 9/3 and ran continuously through the night until I became aware of the issue this morning 9/4 and killed the service at 7AM. No time or opportunity to run Process Monitor, as I needed to unlock the server asap. I did notice an upgrade to 8.5...

I would - but there is NO 'Indexing' setting under Servers - Localhost. Should there be?

I'm back - my high CPU usage came back after a week - ran fine in the interim, then started pegging the CPU again. Restart of the server DID bring it back to running correctly.

Seems to be a bug in the routine?
