Re: Moving Servers

It is not possible to migrate EAS licensing by domain.

I think the best option is to run the new server in 30 day eval and then copy the license folder (....\Mail Enable\Config\Licensing\MailEnable ActiveSync) over once the last domain comes across.

Re: 451 ESMTP MailEnable Service temporarily refused connection

You should inspect the SMTP debug log file at the time that the response is returned. It will have an entry like this: ME-E0125: Connection Refused: ([IPAddress[) was refused because there have been too many failed authentication attempts from the IP address. It is likely that an auth policy has bee...

Re: Trouble creating chat groups

Just to clarify, are you wanting the buddies in the roster to be grouped - or are you wanting to define Multi-User Chat Groups (ie: predefined char rooms). For clarity. please also see: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/28297847/what-is-the-diference-between-a-roster-group-and-multi-user-chat-room...

The links to the releases are available here: https://www.mailenable.com/downloadprevious.asp
As Brett indicated, the last stable version for v9 is 9.79 (obviously version 10 has now been released as well).

Re: Chat problem

For external clients (like Jitsi, Thunderbird, EmClient, MacOS), you will need to allow access via port 5222. Having done so, please see detailed instructions for configuring clients here: https://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/article.asp?ID=ME020671 (There are KB articles for other clients availabl...

Re: log into web mobile automatically

Hi, this can be done (with the version 10 mobile client) by passing a base64 encoded key: example: https://www.mailenable.com:8443/Mobile/MessageList.aspx?AuthKey=bWVkZW1vQGRlbW9uc3RyYXRpb246ZGVtbw== Where the AuthKey is base64 encoded mailbox@postoffice:password Example: medemo@demonstration:demo E...

Re: Cannot Connect Latest Outlook 365 Client

Hi Martyn, A recent Outlook update removed the installation wizard and biases towards 365. An updated MAPI kit released shortly and it should resolve the issue you describe. The other alternative is to apply a registry modification as outlined here: http://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/article.asp?I...

Re: v10 Beta problems

Hi Martyn, I hope you are well. The problem is likely an issue with the framework bitness (which was fixed in a patched kit today). Specifically that it is trying to use x86 framework without it being installed. Could you please assist by updating your installation to the now-current build. Thanks, ...

Re: Outlook 2016 still randomly crashes

Hi Shaun, I trust you had a great xmas break and new year. We posted a beta for 9.54 today at http://www.mailenable.com/beta/. It includes two relevant fixes/improvements. Firstly, there is a fix that will prevent outlook from crashing (and having it corrupt it's pst/ost). In technical terms, the cr...

Re: Outlook 2016 still randomly crashes

Hi webshaun, I would like to make MailEnable's position on this clear before I lock the thread. You have a support ticket open on this, and that is the most productive way to work through this issue. As we have mentioned many times, the crash is occurring within Outlook within Microsoft owned code (...

Re: Connector Version 2 and OpenProtocols

Hi Walter, thanks - When you install the connector (http://www.arpdev.com/download.aspx) then it will edit your MAPISVC.INF file and add details in to allow the configuration of a new Outlook service. The OpenProtocols connector used to be available as a 32 bit and 64 bit installer, but has been cha...

Re: MAPI connector producing duplicate and triplicate emails

Hi, we will be releasing version 2 of the Connector in the new year. In the interim, we do have a build available that is stable (and it does include additional protection for duplicate items). If you wish to access this update as pre-release it is available here: http://www.mailenable.com/mesetup_x...

Re: Outlook 2013 Can't create Contact Group

This is a limitation of the EAS protocol. It does not support personal/server-side groups.
I think some devices (Samsung) provide the experience by linking client side groups to server items (but Outlook does not provide this).
