An issue has popped up where after the user logs into their webmail, they go into options then select settings. they modify friendly name, check "Clear deleted items on logout" and put in a basic signature. after hitting the update button and do anything else(IE...

This theory lasted a few hours, and we are back to square one. We need URGENT help support :( No matter what setting we have MESMTP hogs the CPU eventually. It does not matter how much mail is coming in or going through, it just will not drop form 100%. We are in a very bad situation here, our email...

Well we kludged together a temporary solution. We have re-enabled auto-banning of IPs. This causes a problem after the list grows very large. So we will monitor it and clear it out periodically. Thanks for all the help, and we hope this has solved our problem. We just have to wait and see now :) Reg...

We are getting DESPERATE. Anyone who can help us solve this will be rewarded with some money. So if you have any ideas or suggestions let us know. Our server is now pretty much useless. SMTP just totally uses ALL the CPU the weird thing is that it does this when the queues ahave low numbers of email...

It seems that the server is under some sort of attack. The SMTP is getting hit over and over again by several IPs. We block one and another comes in. It also looks like it is open to relay even though we have it set to have you authenticate. This just gets more Bizarre each hour, and more stressful ...

We think we found the problem, and you are right. The logs are extremely helpful. Our queues are not backed up, but while going through the log we ran across two IPs doign tons of mail, and we blocked them, and the CPU load dropped. Its still fluctuating but its not staying at 100%. But we have seen...

Hey John we found our problem. And like we thought it had nothing to do with your wonderful script. We had IPs being auto-banned by the SMTP if they all did more than 5 Invalid recipeints. This list grew to over 300 IPs, we removed the list and it works. We had the list ebcause most of them were IPs...

Still having problems with this one: Due to the amount of SoBig emails still getting through, or users mailboxes and our queues are being flooded with "The message you sent to domain.com/username was rejected because the quota for the mailbox has been exceeded. Is there a way to disable these messag...

Thanks for the reply puzzled.

We talked to John the maker of kilSobig.vbs, and he got it working for us.

It is doing an awesome job.

I would highly recommend that people use it :)

URGENT HELP Needed: SoBig, F-PROT, MESMTP 100%

We have been having tons of problems witht he SoBig Virus. We had Norton Corporate but could not get it working with Mail Enable, so we switched to F-Prot. It worked for a while, but then it started letting SoBIg through again. It is update to date as far as the definitions go. I created some screen...

Controlling Mailenable from a remote server

Is it possible to control mailenable from a remote server?

Example: All your scripts for creating users and domains resides on one server, and you want to create the users and domains on another server that has mailenable on it.

Is this possible?

Thanks,
