It could be a slow DNS resolution issue. I have a server that has this issue from tiem to time as well. I go into the que and force it to try again and it will y get its head clear and send the message after a few tries. Look to see if your DNS server has any errors in the DNS event log. Good luck S...

Check to make sure that you have reverse zones for your mail server. As a rule, when I set up my DNS I set up an MX record, then host records for pop, smtp and mail. Possible places/things to look for. Are you seeing any DNS resolution issues within your network? The mail that is in the que, does it indicate why it is there and has not been sent. ie socket failure or something along those lines. Anything stand out in the SMTP Debug logs?
