but it works on IMAP service.
How to solve it for the webmail service?

A better organized web forum
I think the forum structure should be updated as growing both ME users and editions. If I had a question on the webmail in enterprise on wich forum should i post it?

Documentation
ME manuals are being very big (and, fortunately, complete!) but I would find an HTML on line help (as many windows applications have) really really handy.

Log path hell
There is a way to know all the log paths used by mail enable?
There is a way to modify them without right-click any item on the ME console tree item? It's very frustrating and every time I do it I have the feeling I missed something. Working on a production server could be risky.

Confusing version numbering
As an old customer evaluating the new enterprise version, i'm still disappointed at seeing different editions don't match version numbers. So I read a 1.8, 1.54, 1.03 for the same product with different functionality. Which is the core components version? It's difficult to understand backward compat...

Log Analyzer: Please don't add incomplete utilities!
I'm testing the Enterprise Version. I see there is an utility called "Log Analyser" I will find very useful only when it will be fully functional. But so far choosing the POP log source or HTTP mail I receive a sad message "JHTTPMail (sic) or POP log analysis will be available soon". So what do you ...

The objects of the folders.asp file use the following libraries only- and you should ensure that these libraries are configured on your server: Hi Andrew, I've just send to Response@MailEnable.com a reply to your last e-mail. Regarding your suggestion, I've reinstalled the Microsoft Scripting Runti...

Re: you could try this:
I had a similar problem with webmail on the Sept 30 upgrade, and in the end reapplying the service pack fixed it (I'm on a W2K server, with SP4 installed). If you're using Windows, it's worth a shot (assuming there are no other constraints in applying the SP). Thank you PeteM for your suggestion! I...

Thank you Andrew for the answer. I tried this without success :( 1. removed all user from Mail Enable folder but Administrator, SYSTEM and OWNER 2. ran the MEInstaller.exe without errors in the log 3. installed a new MEWebMail via the Mail Enable MMC (just a try). IIS use the IME_USER as anonymous a...

WebMail Error: ActiveX component can't create object
I just upgraded to 1.15 from 1.13. When I log-in to the webmail interface, I get this error: Folder pane: ADODB.Recordset error '800a0e78' Operation is not allowed when the object is closed. /MEWebmail/base/default/lang/EN/folders.asp, line 44 Main frame: Error: Could not list messages in folder. Re: RFC 822 compliant domains with square brackets
Ehr I assume my request was not so clear
I have the need to receive e-mails at:
user@[myipaddress]
for example
bellavite@[212.110.13.81]
(i.e. with square brackets)
Anyone can help me to configure this domain in Mail Enable?

Please excuse me if I misunderstood, but this is basically integral in how mail servers work in general. Anyone can send to local users - irrespective of their origin. There is little that can be done to authenticate or validate the origin (other than PTR lookups, RBL lookups etc.) Thank you Andrew...

You will always be able to send to local senders. Otherwise people on other mail servers would not be able to send mail to you. Relaying is when you use your server to send to a non-local domain. Thank you Andrew for the answer, but now I've a security issue: anyone could send e-mail to my customer...
