Long links are truncated

I've been doing some research lately and when I find a good link on Microsoft.com, I usually send myself the link via email at home for further reading. However, what I noticed is that when I send long links in the email, the links are only linked up to a certain number of characters. (I haven't cou...

Multiple events with batch file

Yep, you're the ONLY one! :D Seriously, the MTA calls your pickup event with passing it a single parameter (the name of the mail file) so what you need to do is have your batch file pick up that command prompt parameter, then refeed it into your other calls within the batch. Hope this helps, I know ...

Reading attached Forwards with Webmail

I've noticed that when I receive emails from people that have forwarded messages, the emails show up as .eml attachments. However, when I click on the attachment it tries to download it to the server. It would be nice to have this open up another message window so that we can review the contents of ...

Ensim is already integrated

When I checked out Ensigm's website, they already claim to be configured to use MailEnable? You may want to check their site, possibly get the upgrade.

Also, search this forum for "Ensim", I've seen this question asked several times.

Good luck,

Can't change ISPs

I live in an area that is too hilly to get a clear LOS for satellite, and DSL isn't available... my only broadband option is the local cable company! Sucks to deal with big companies with monopolistic attitudes....

I'm not on their server

I agree with the TOS on not running server, I have a dedicated server at http://www.valueweb.net, so my server is a legitimate service. I have to connect to the internet to access my server that I'm paying for, but when they started blocking the SMTP, and TELNET ports, I could not access my server =...

ISP blocking port 25

I found that from your home computer (or the one that you are having problems on) try to telnet to your SMTP server on port 25, you should ge ta response. If not, then your ISP could have very well blocked port 25. Starting Monday August 11th, my ISP (COX Communication) blocked outgoing/incoming por...

ISP knocking out wall to put a lock on the front door!

That's the same BS my ISP gave me is tht they wanted to stop spammers! I "discussed" it with them, explaining that I understand them wanting to block incoming port 25 to prevent cable modem users from installing their own mail server and not configuring it properly (they also block port 80). However...

ISP is at fault

Well, the problem ended up being MY ISP!!! They seemed to have blocked port 25 except to their SMTP server, but won't allow other emails to go through their SMTP server! So, now I have to reconfigure my server to a different port as well as notify all 200+ email users to reconfigure their mail clien...

Port 25 not responding

OK, I've finally tracked down that it is port 25 on my server. For some reason, it isn't responding. If I setup SMTP to listen on an additional port, and I configure outlook to look at it, then things work great! Running netstat -a, I see that my smtp port is listening, but there aren't any response...

Can not connect to SMTP from Outlook

I've been running MailEnable for several weeks now, without a gliche at all! However, starting last night, all of a sudden, I can not send email except through webmail. Nothing has intentionally changed on the server that I am aware of, the error I get from Outlook is: Sending and Receiving' reporte...

adding logged in account

Could you explain to us what you changed to get those results? I've found myself many times frustrated, because I'm checking various email accounts, and at some point in time, I 'forget' which account I'm in... so I hit compose, then look at my from box, then hit cancel... I would love to add the "l...

readme.txt

OK, the readme does state that it assumes default location, but the paths still need to be changed such that changing the variable Application("MEWebPath")="" actually has an effect.

some noted issues with this hotfix

I've noticed that all of the code is written with the subdirectory "mewebmail", and it more or less defeats the purpose of having Application("MEWebPath")=""! So for those of you downloading this hotfix that have mail configured anywhere other than www.yourdomain.com/mewebmail, pay attention to the ...

You're right

I host several forums, and I agree, it's good to read before posting... however, I did as many searches as I could and I would not have looked for "goto" as a keyword... but after reviewing my title, it's just as vague!

Thanks for the help,
