I agree with RBogan, and mine is currently a TEST server. I would like to put in production ASAP though. I am using web edition, so upgrading from 2k isn't an option, no need to spend more on software than need be. I think that ME has been cut some slack, but should at least keep the forum upto date...

What I want to do is let user select a skin and have that skin there everytime, until they choose a new one. Maybe with a cookie or something, if this is not possible can I remove skin selection from the page with no consequences.

MMC Failed
Had the same problem on a 2K server, just do a search for .msc on your computer and look for the ME mmc. Then just create a shortcut to it, this worked for me but kinda weird why it didn't initialze.

I also received this error, but I noticed it after I had tried a couple of suggestions for fixinf the com surrogate errors.
