I've tested it against the tool at tttp://www.skylist.net/resources/authentication.php - the DomainKey passes fine, but the DKIM comes back with the following: DKIM-Status: Unrecognized version 0.5 (This signature appears to be from an older draft of the standard) The reflector you mentioned is out...

Re: ...

As you said Spam score 5 is default then what is the spam score is minimum score and maximum score? I don't really understand what you mean by minimum and maximum score. How about the Host IP, is that put the 127.0.0.1 ( localhost) or my Server IP address(internal IP or External IP ?). IN MESpamC, ...

OCR

SpamAssassin has various OCR plugins, but honestly, I think that simply relying on its default HTML_IMAGE_ONLY* rules gives a pretty good result without incurring the resource hit of OCR.

SpamAssassin scoring settings will very much depend on your own environment. The default spam score threshold in SA is 5, but again, depending on your environment, you might find it either too restrictive or else too permissive; in this case you can either modify the spam score threshold, or else (a...

DKIM

Since Ben mentioned DKIM, this is available (along with standard DomainKeys) to MailEnable users via DKeyEvent. DKIM is expected to reach RFC status in the first quarter of this year, as the spec has pretty much been settled on.

DKeyEvent does not modify the original message body, but instead re-wraps it in a multipart-mixed envelope, with the original message and the disclaimer being separated as distinct parts of the message. This is more flexible, I think, and it also allows the disclaimer to be of any valid MIME-Type, n...

oh, look, another one

Well yes, but you would probably want to separate incoming from outgoing mail, so a script might not be that simple after all.

I say it's easier to use DKeyEvent or MEFilter.

configuration depends on your environment

The default SAVASM configuration may not be appropriate for high volume traffic. Further on in that thread (and in other topics as well - simply do a search for SAVASM) you will see various posts on how to tweak the settings for optimal performance in your environment.

I build my virtual machines myself; I am also the one who put together the SAVASM VM. Now whether you want to use a preconfigured VM like SAVASM, or build one yourself from scratch largely depends on your knowledge of UNIX systems and your willingness to do it. If you're not entirely familiar with t...

errors and response

But i dont understand... isn't it possible to make some kind of try-catch around the unpredictable method-calls so errors would be catched and handled correctly, instead of this Windows Error Message popping up all the time? There are, and MESpamC should normally take care of errors; but in some ca...

lost messages

After looking through logs we had to stop using MeSpamC. Each of those communication error rows means that we actually lost email message. When logs show that 2 messages arrived approximately in same time, only one of those finds it way to PostOffice. I very much doubt that MESpamC is responsible f...

spamd logs

You should check the detailed spamdIO logs, and also the spamd logs; the problem lies probably with SpamAssassin.

If you are using Failover, then it is possible for the message you mentioned to be logged, and yet for the message to be processed ok. Anyway, spamIO logging will generally give you an idea of what is happening. As for the PO delivery event, no idea.
