Can't recall where it is but somewhere on the forums there is an explanation of setting up IIS to fix that problem. A bit of searching will find the correct post.

Our mail server runs on Windows Server 2003 Web Edition. I installed Perl and SpamAssassin on the same computer and everything runs perfectly. SpamAssassin is great at recognizing spam.

Here is the MTA pickup event script I use for SpamAssassin. It keeps a copy of all SMTP mail in a folder (C:\Test) for me to check. Unrecognized spam can then be passed through sa-learn. Hope this helps. '------------------------------------------------------- ' MTASpam.vbs - A pickup event script f...

Matt Look at eariler posts in this thread and you will find a reference to a converter I wrote (MELog2AWStats) when I was unhappy with the way the original was working (incorrect message sizes). This converter reads the entire conversation and outputs records once the conversation is complete. This ...

I can't believe that no-one else is having the same problem. Obviously I must have done something wrong on my system. Just to clarify what I am talking about here are some more details on the phenomenon: Extract from SMTP log 02/22/05 12:12:25 SMTP-IN 7135502FE5B7473386B6AD316BEE.MAI 984 80.71.6.98 ...

Website update

I see that the web site home page has had another facelift. Looks quite nice but please put the current version numbers of the various programs back on the page.

Previously it was easy to check if an update was available, now we need to navigate around a bit to find out what version is current.

SPF and NDR reports

I have a filter setup on SPF failures for incoming emails to quarantine them. However, I find that NDR reports sent from external servers are failing SPF checks as MailEnable considers email sent to <> (postmaster shorthand) as coming from my own domain and DNS quite rightly reports that the connect...

The MTA event passes two parameters, the first being the name of the file and the second being the connector code. An example (VBScript) that shows how to use these parameters is as follows: Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") MailDataPath = WshShell.RegRead("HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mail Enable\Mail ...

Look in the folder Mail Enable\Config\Postoffices\PONAME\Lists. There you should find a set of .TAB files, one per list, that contain the email addresses of all list members.
