One year later ... mailEnable plugin for AVG still does not parse avgscan.exe commandline output as it should. :( I tested AVG 7.0 installation, I put mailEnable MTA service into debug mode, and it DETECTS all viruses! But the problem - looks so - remains in mailEnable WRONG PARSING of avgscan.exe ...

I made some changes: 1.) Still using AVG 7.0 2.) In mailEnable MTA configuration I changed settings - instead of avg.exe I entered avgscan.exe to be run on scanning e-mails 3.) I made a test: - I stopped MTA service - then I run MTA service in debug mode with MEMTA -debug - I sent mail with virus in...

I tried to buy this cheap piece of antivirus, but they do not allow me to buy that cheap - the minimum is 5 licences, which is 5xUS$8 = US$ 40 per year, which is not so cheap as it seems.

Seems like background purchase tricks are still in use :? ...

Huh, these versions.... I really do not know if we were asked for some licences... But version is 7.0, and if I click on LICENCE tab it says: Count of licences: 1 Hmm, what if we go back to AVG 6.0 version? Do you think there is some great difference if we use it only for scanning mail on se...

there is a tool for migration from Imail to mailEnable. Look under downloads -> Tools and Utilities but if you have standard mBox format, where all mails are stored in one text file for each account, huh, might be a problem. I had that situation. There was no tool for migration, so I installed TheBa...

...and one more thing:
that filenames in "Inbox" folder, for example:

3648652CA93B4390BACF2D99B22C3D.MAI

Are these names RANDOMLY generated, or is this some kind of checksum?

If this is RANDOM, I could then simply migrate mailboxes from other known formats. :)

in which format are mailboxes?

Which format does mailEnable use to store mails in mailboxes? I see thare is a separate file with name by ID for each mail in user's mailbox.

I want to migrate my user's mailboxes from Linux MBOX format to myilEnable, so I needto know which format to convert to. Might it be DBMAIL format?

I have similar problems with IMAP, too. I run mailEnable PRO 1.14, and IMAP is working and not-working, depends of God-knows-what.

IMAP folders seem to be acessible from Outlook, but not from Webmail aplications. Weird.

Session timeouts & html formatting

I evaluate mailEnable PRO, and when using webmail, I have problems: - viewing INBOX, the lower frame with message preview, there is a link near sender's address which says "Add to contacts". When I click that link, I get new window opened, and there is a message "Session expired". When closing that ...

You can buy only PandaCL licence for US$11 per licence. Weird thing is, that they treat licences as per client, so if you have 10 e.mail clients, they will force you to buy 10 licences, US$ 11 each. the lowest quote is 5 licences, therefore, US$55. I got PandaCL from our local Panda distributor, and...

I have mailEnable FREE on Win2000 server.
Can I use PandaCL, too?

...and, do you have a link to PandaCL - I cannot find it on Panda web page. The only Command Line Scanner I found at Panda is a part of Panda Enterprise package, which is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!
