both dbly and triple are correct in their own ways. Option 1) Leaving a message on the server when using POP3 does just that, creates a copy of the client computer while leaving the original message in the inbox of the server. This is an OK idea if you are simply making sure you have a "Backup" for ...

Yes and No. If you are running ME Pro, I don't think there is a way. If you are running ME Ent, then you can buy two licenses and cluster them.

The DNS record for mail.myserver.com MUST point to the IP address that MailEnable is listening on. Also, many ISP's redirect Port 25 to THEIR mail server, thus not allowing you to use Port 25 for your own mail server. The way I got around this was to set an alternate listening port "2525" and tell c...

Old Problem Back Again: Can't log into webmail

I did a search through the forums and the last time this error was reported was back in 2006. I just installed ME on a new server cause my old one died... it took me several hours to remember how I had configured SQL Server.. but once it was finally working, I was the happiest guy around... ...that ...

NM... solved it.

I added the IME_System to my database but I did not give it permissions over the database... Turned it to dbo.Owner and it worked just fine.

Sometimes my brain just stops working :(

You could attempt to use this tool http://www.mailenable.com/utilities/addons/rebuilddirstructure.zip there is no actual post on the ME website that shows it but it is there and I used it. I also modified it to create the appropriate dir structure for things like auto-responses and such, however ME ...

Create Mailbox using ASP.NET

Can someone tell me how to create a new mailbox in ASP.NET? I tried looking at the documentation but couldn't find what I was looking for. Does 3.5 have a nice handy web service like SM so that mailboxes can be created from servers that are separate from the Email server? If not... I suppose I would...

Well I guess I have done it myself. IF You are an ME Enterprise User on SQL Server, this script will work for you... just run it on your server that has me on it and make sure to edit the ConStr and the RootDir Dim RootDir, ConStr RootDir = "D:\Mail Enable" ConStr = "Driver={SQL Native Client};Serve...

Recreate Postoffice Folder Structure

Has anyone ever recreated the ME Postoffice folder structure from either the API or a direct SQL Query?

I really need to do this and am not sure how to go about tackeling the project.

I would like to rephrase this question. I need to be able to create a new mailbox in one of two ways... is either of these two ideas possible? 1) create a mailbox on Server B from a webpage hosted on Server A? IE: use some sort of SOAP method via HTTP or HTTPS 2) create a mailbox with the .NET API o...
