From the log example above, would you agree that the second IP address was due to my "header depth = 2" setting?

Does "header depth = 1" check only the FIRST or only the LAST server to handle the message?

Also, from the log example above, would you agree that the second IP address was due to my "header depth = 2" setting?

Thanks,

We have been using MxScanME with great success for about two months. Today, a customer complained that a message was not getting through, and I noticed something odd in the mxscan-service log. MxScan ran RDNSBL checks on two different IP addresses, and I don't know where the second IP address came f...

Rebooting the server didn't help. Removing Fprot6 entirely didn't help. I noticed that clamd.exe sometimes dies while starting up, contributing to the failures that we noticed today. I again temporarily turned on the logging to grab the last few lines after the process disappeared from Task Manager....

Are you asking about restarting the server, the AV, or mxscan? We have not restarted the server yet; we just discovered the issue this morning so it will have to wait until tonight. We have not restarted the memory-resident AV scanner. I have restarted the mxscan service several times today and clam...

Thanks for the quick response. We do have a memory-resident AV program, but it excludes all MailEnable-related directories (ME, mxuptime, MERO) from it's real-time scanning. Is this still a problem? I temporarily enabled clamd.exe logging to get some statistics: Our ClamAV takes 23 seconds to load t...

Trouble starting ClamAV

Hello, I noticed today that mxscan seems to have a lot of trouble starting clamd.exe, and sometimes fails. It seems to check the VERSION command too early (after clamd.exe started but before it has started listening on port 3310). It USUALLY succeeds on a later attempt. However, on several occasions...

IMAP seems to work fine, but it doesn't appear to be using NTLM (we have it enabled in IMAP, but I can still see the username and "*******" for the password, which I think suggests that the client is not encrypting the authentication phase). The most recent POP3/NTLM troubleshooting session was on a...

We are unable to get Windows Mobile 6 to work with POP3 on MailEnable 3.14. It always connects with NTLM, and our POP3 log shows "Invalid State" during the authentication. We have NTLM enabled, and it works ok with OL 2003 on Windows XP, but it seems the Windows Mobile implementation of NTLM doesn't...

Ben, Ahh...ok, thanks, we're most of the way there now. I missed the fact that the periods were replaced with underscores in your earlier posting because the whole link got underlined in the browser (and I didn't look very closely). Now it works when I create a /Custom/domain_com folder with custom ...

Ben, I completed the permissions update exactly as instructed, but I'm still getting the error message when I try to upload an image in the Branding section. Worth noting, the MailEnable\CONFIG did not have IME_STORE_GROUP in it's permissions, and MailEnable\bin\NETWEBADMIN and MailEnable\bin\NETWEB...

Ben, Ok, thanks for the clarification...This feature has been enabled since the beginning for us (about 2 years). I think I see exactly what happened now, but I still don't know what changed to cause it... The customer's network printer had a misconfigured notification e-mail address for MONTHS, unn...

We still haven't gotten this working. Also, when I try the "Branding" feature in MeWebAdmin, I get this error message:
Image could not be uploaded! An error occurred while uploading the graphic.
Do we have a file permissions issue? Any other ideas?

Incoming SMTP being denied, but IP is not in blacklist

Shortly after we upgraded from 2.x to 3.14, one of our customers starting being denied access with the following error: 530 AcadiaSys.com ESMTP MailEnable Service, Version: 0--3.14 denied access at 04/29/08 00:00:51 ...but their IP address does not appear in the SMTP-DENY.TAB or in any other .TAB fi...
