Fun with color-coding the WebMail account usage bar in v3.x

The usage bar in v3.x webmail is blue, until the box is 100% full, then it turns Orange. I thought our users could use a little more warning than that, so now it changes color depending on how full the box is (green, yellow, red): http://www.AcadiaSys.com/MailEnable/usage.jpg I thought I remembered ...

I just noticed that same setting exists at the USER level also in v3.14 (Restrictions, Limit SMTP usage to a maximum of...) but it's still per HOUR not per DAY. I don't remember seeing that before our v3.x upgrade this week.

A per-day version of that feature would be nice.

This isn't exactly what you asked for, but it's worth mentioning: There is a setting to limit the total outbound messages per HOUR at the Postoffice level (Post office properties, Restrictions, Limit Maximum SMTP recipients). We had a weird issue with this feature in v2.x where we had it set to abou...

I'm a little nervous about turning on Greylisting for the first time. Can anyone share their experience with this feature? 1) As mentioned above, Gmail (and I suppose many other large legit e-mail sources) requeue outbound message to a different server each time, so greylisting can delay some mail b...

I haven't been able to get the Custom folder to work in V3.14 (and we had never tried it in 2.x). Am I doing something wrong? I created C:\Program Files\Mail Enable\bin\NETWebMail\HooDoo\Skins\HooDoo\Custom\acadiasys.com and put a custom login-window_logo.gif in it, but nothing changes on the login ...

We've finally decided to try this script, since it seems to be referenced in every discussion about forwarding SPAM/HAM in these forums. However, we're having some trouble with it. First, let me say thank you to Jason for providing this script. Even if we have to tweak it a little to get it to work ...

Double-clicking doesn't seem to do it in our version (2.38), but clicking on the envelope icon does. Still, as the message is displayed with other buttons in the preview pane, it seems the more intuitive route would be to have all the bottons visible there. We can't really expect the average user to...

We're using v2.38, and we don't plan to upgrade to v3 for a while.

"View Headers" button missing in Preview Pane in W

Is there a reason why the "View Headers" and "Print" buttons are not included when viewing a message in the preview window (in WebMail 2.38)? It is such a hassle having to go to Options, Settings, uncheck Preview Window, then go back to the Inbox to see the headers? Even if there is a different tric...

amwmedia, A few days after I posted that message in January, our training just started working again! I suppose it was after restarting something, or rebooting the server, or purging the extraneous tokens again, but there was no "Eureka" moment... we just noticed it was working and it has been fine ...

Has anyone used Jason's Perl script? Does it handle all the various forwarding scenerios well? Is this the right solution, or does anybody have a better suggestion?

Thanks,

Oops! Applied 3-month old MailEnable registry backup

Oops! I think I'm ok, but if anyone is up for a good pop-quiz....Can I expect trouble from what I did?... I was clicking around in a MailEnable backup set from several months ago while I was distracted in a conversation. Now I see how that is like driving drunk... I accidentally hit [ENTER] on the ....

We set up Bayesian filtering about a week ago, and we're getting good results so far. However, even though our message count is quite balanced (10711 Ham, 10705 Spam), both the auto-training and manual training methods seem to have stopped working. We have auto-training enabled, with about a dozen w...
