I'll try that but I don't think it's the type of filtering that is the problem. Advanced filtering was working fine when it was a message I wrote myself. I think it's having problems because the message delivery failure message is being generated *by* MailEnable within its system, and that the filte...

This is a filter within MailEnable - looking at their documentation I thought the format of the filter had to say CriteriaMet([ME_SUBJECT],"Message Delivery Failure") in order for it to know to test the ME_SUBJECT parameter for that criteria ...? That's how all of their examples were laid out. I sup...

Well, that's what I'm doing for now, having it launch a vbs script. However, while it will catch the mail message fine if I send in a test message with a key phrase like LISA TEST in the subject, when I then changed it to an actual bounce subject like Message Delivery Failure it completely ignored t...

I tried just to do a catch in the first place with FilterResult = 0 if CriteriaMet([ME_SUBJECT],"Message Delivery Failure") OR _ CriteriaMet([ME_SUBJECT], "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)") Then FilterResult = 1 end if When I do a test with "LISA TEST" as the subject it works fine. However th...

Using Cookies to set Session Variables

My users don't want to have to keep logging in manually. I would like to store the logon info as cookies and use that to auto-log them in. What exact session variables would I have to set up so that MailEnable then considered them logged in? I don't want to pass along the logon and password right in...

Filter running ASP

I want to set up a filter to catch the most common bounce conditions and have it launch an ASP script to then handle those email addresses. Has anybody launched an ASP script from a filter? How would you do that?

This is exactly what I want to do. It look like you have to pay $700 for a commercial bounce filter or set up filters manually for each bounce phrase and hook each one to an executable ...

I know this is late, but we just switched again. We'd tried once in the past and it went very poorly. This time with the new version it went pretty smoothly; it did lose our IP relay approval entries and we had to redo those. We have about 450 mailboxes I think.

This one is only $25 -

so that's 20 times cheaper, has anybody tried it?

Mail Stuck in Incoming SMTP Queue

We had something happen today that's never happened before - and I've been running MailEnable for several years now. I have the latest version of Enterprise and at around 3pm mail just stopped flowing through. Mail was sticking in the incoming queue. Finally after trying a variety of things to troub...

That's a sweet offer, but we are having *huge* issues with mail right now (hence our investigation of a $300/mo product to help). I really can't afford to play with a beta version that could conceivably demolish our entire mail system :) I need to wait for a production version to be released, any ti...

When will that be coming out? The solution I'm testing right now is an external server based system. In this anti-spam solution, all mail goes to them first, is filtered on their servers and only the clean mail reaches our servers. It will cost $300/month for us to sign up for this service. On one h...

Reporting on Spam Volume

I am testing out a third part spam server system where my mail goes to them, is filtered, then only the good mail is sent to me. I want to see how this compares to MailEnable's built in anti-spam filters. The third party software gives me daily reports of how many messages it processed and how many ...
