Controlling the outgoing queue from compromised account

This happens more often than I care to think about, but sometimes an account we host will get compromised by a spammer. This morning within 1 hour the spammer had flooded our queue with 350k messages. Thankfully I caught it when I did, but it was hosing up our system, and it's taken me the past 30 m...

Re: SMTP: error in processing

I know this message is super old, but I wanted to add my experience to it. Had this exact same problem. Ran process monitor and mesmtpc.exe was returning DISK FULL even though there were 20gb of free space on the drive, and i was able to create new files myself just fine. I ran a check disk on the d...

IE 10 and ME 7

We were on ME 6 and customers that were on IE 10 were complaining that webmail wasn't working. We upgraded to ME 7 and now even the login button is not working. Chrome and IE 9 can login just fine, but IE 10 can not. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks!

Re: Redirection to ssl webmail

It sounds to me like you've gone about it the correct ways, but something is not correct in your IIS configuration. I use a php redirect to forward people from webmail.example.com to the https site, but i would think asp would be just fine. if it's showing the code of your asp file i'd think there i...

Filters - Custom Script - Reading header value

I know I might be looking to push the limits of what the filter can do, but I know it can do basic VB code so I'm hoping this is possible. One of our spam filters adds a header with a spam score on it. This specifically: X-spam-status: No, score=-0.1 required=3.5 tests=HTML_MESSAGE,MIME_HTML_ONLY,BA...

Re: Can't find bayesian auto-training tab

Thanks, that got me there. It was under "Extensions", not "Filters" as the docs said. I turned it on about a year ago, but it's been so long since I was there I couldn't remember where to find it, and the docs were no help. So far it doesn't miss any spam, but about 40% of what it tags as spam are f...

Can't find bayesian auto-training tab

Re: New Install - ERR Your IP address has temporarily denied

As a work around you should be able to check your pop activity logs and see which ip address is trying to log into your account. Then block it in the pop connector properties.

Re: New Install - ERR Your IP address has temporarily denied

I was one of the people who asked for this feature quite a while ago. I'm glad it's implemented. we were getting HAMMERED with pop3 logins, guessing at the passwords. i had to monitor the log files on a daily basis to manually block ip addresses at the router. so i'm very pleased to see it exists no...

POP3 logging - getting the message filename

I have a user that is insisting they are not getting messages to their inbox immediately, and that there are one or two day delays in between. It's only one message every once in a while, and we're pretty sure they're lying, but we don't know how to prove it. I would curious if there is a way for th...

webadmin - change redirection box to a drop-down

On the mailbox tab when editing a mailbox, I was wondering if it's possible to change the "redirect mail to" text box to a drop-down box that's populated with a list of addresses in the current post office? I don't want to allow people to forward their email to an outside email address. Right now I ...

Trying to track down missing emails

Have a customer with missing emails. The problem appears to be with some filters I have in place. This is the tracing I get on the message: SMTP\SMTP-Activity-120518.log:05/18/12 11:40:56 SMTP-IN 2474C9A95025493080441A3B923C3AA1.MAI 2552 12.186.81.249 220 ssl.ttcsinc.com - smtp 0 0 SMTP\SMTP-Activit...

Re: Question - Message Filter system variables for executed

I realize it's been over five years since I asked this question, so I apologize for bringing it up again. But I never found an answer to this. I've again searched the manual and I can't even find a list that has [ID], [CONNECTOR], or [TIME] in it. I've tried my best to read page by page each section...
