Hi,

Do have any pickup events configured? Do you have Message content filtering enabled? Check your log files at the time the CPU runs high to get an indication why the MTA is behaving this way. Are you running the latest version of Professional?

The default return code values fro AVG, are 5 and 6, these values should be a default setting in the AVG properties window within Mailenable message filter>Mailenable Antivirus filter.
