Re: new emailboxes are not mapped automatically

check your ./config/domain.tab file and make sure that it is there and complete. You should have a line that begins with the domain name that looks something like this: {domainname} 1 0 {postofficename} 0 0 0 0 be careful - the fields are tab-separated, and not every column may have a value. To view...

Re: Missing email

What do the message logs on your end say? Start with the SMTP log, can you find where they have sent, and you have received, the message? If you can find one, pay attention to the message id's and trace it through the rest of the logs. Eventually you will find where the message went - probably into ...

Under Options, Expand Mail (Between Login and Calendar)

You should see Compose, Auto Response, Redirection, Email Signature, Whitelist, and Blacklist.

Re: new emailboxes are not mapped automatically

No, it should automatically populate - assuming that you have done the steps in the right order and already created the domain under "Domains" before adding the mailbox. Keep in mind that the postoffice name is NOT a domain name. They are actually unrelated to each other. So, if you create a POSTOFF...

Re: IMAP Search Error

That behavior varies from phone to phone and version to version, just like whether IDLE will work or not, or whether it will see a message as being read or not. I've given up trying to make the default IMAP client behave on my phone, but have yet had the time to really evaluate the other alternative...

Re: Rounting inbound messages to other SMTP Server

Yes, this is called "smart hosting" To implement it, create a post office this purpose (I call mine "BackupMX") under it create the domain that you want to forward In the properties of the domain name, check the "act as smart host" box In the "Redirect mail to (attempt in this order)" box, add the d...

Re: unable to delte old email messages from Outbound post of

POP shouldn't have anything in an outbound queue - POP is used to retrieve mail, not send it (yes, the folders are created during installation - but they aren't really used) you should be looking in /queues/smtp/outgoing or use the MailEnableAdmin console application to drill drown through servers -...

I'm not quite sure I understand all of what you want to do, but this

article describing automatic login might point you in the right direction.

Re: Mailenable contact display from table of sql server 2008

This is one of those "If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't do it" type of things. 5 minutes of glancing at the code will show you that the data is populated in the /lang/sys/forms/vcf/list.aspx page using GetContactCols() - you could always write a your own handler to replace it - but to repli...

Re: MailEnableAdmin MMC Snapin no longer loads

Issue is resolved. The problem was found to be in the ./config/messages/messages.xml file when I renamed the file, MMC opened. But not being satisfied to just work around the problem, I dug into it until I figured out why. In the middle of the XML I found the following nodes: <SystemMessage id="29">...

Re: Could not load type 'MailEnable.xd583cb071fa8f789'

Default URL for version 7 of MailEnable is /MEWebMail/Mondo/lang/sys/login.aspx /forms/ was part of the OLD webmail - around version 2 or so. Sounds like you have the webmail set up on a per-domain basis, and have an old version hanging under that domain either as a physical folder or virtual folder...

Re: Delivery delayed to Chinese domains

You are being tarpitted/greylisted by the recipient server. If you are getting "Message Delayed" and not "Message Failed" then things are working as they should, and the messages are getting through. There are things that you can do on your end to decrease the likelihood of being delayed in this fas...

Re: spam smtp outbound

you are relaying spam - so the first thing you need to do is identify the source(s) Grab the filename of one of the messages, and search through the logs in /SF and /MTA to find where it was generated, tracing it backwards until you find the point where it entered the system. Grab a couple more and ...

Under outgoing settings (Generally Account Settings -> Server Settings -> Account Settings) verify your settings Make sure that your server name is correct If you aren't using SSL, make sure that security type is NONE Are you using an offset port such as 587? If so, use it. If not, I highly recommen...

MailEnableAdmin MMC Snapin no longer loads

This morning i went to check to things on my server, running MailEnable Professional 7.50 under Server 2003 32-bit, which has been running fine for years - but I couldn't get into MailEnable management. The actual services (SMTP, IMAP, etc.) are still running and working. I have tried loading managm...
