Re: IMAP - problem with mobile

Hi, In the administration program under the IMAP options, unselect the option for public folders and restart the IMAP service. If you need to use public folders under IMAP, then download the software again and reinstall (we've updated the installation to fix). The problem is listing the public folde...

Re: Is there a 64Bit version of MEASP.dll ?

There is no 64bit version of that DLL sorry. But you can run your scripts as 32bit by running something like:

c:\windows\syswow64\cscript.exe yourscript.vbs

Re: GeoIP not fully functional

So once the bot is in with the correct credentials, all he has to do now is figure out a way to proxy to the SMTP to access it from the correct country based IP? This is really no different to them just getting blocked by location initially and doing the dictionary attack from the same country. If ...

Re: How to retry sending when greylisted using MailEnable?

Hi, SMTP servers can return a 4xx error code, which is to indicate to the sender to retry later. 5xx error codes mean to fail straight away. Greylisting works by the destination server giving a 4xx error code and forcing the sender to retry. Most spammers do not retry, but proper servers will. The m...

Re: Mailbox locked - How to block PC Name?

Hi,

It is not recommended to use the option to lock a mailbox - it is better to just use the abuse prevention option which blocks the inbound IP address. If you want to block by the PC name though, you could try the option described at:

Re: How to retry sending when greylisted using MailEnable?

Hi,

The server uses the retry settings under the SMTP Delivery options. You cannot force a retry from a client application, the server will just do this itself. In the administration program, under the SMTP Outbound queue you could right click and use the Send Now menu item.

Re: getting 220*******

Hi,

If you see something like

220 ********************************

This would mean a Cisco firewall is protecting the SMTP service. Unfortunately this will block things like authentication. Please see:

Re: Email Rejected by Office 365 due to Trailing Dot/Period

Hi, This is from your server to the Office365 domain? The EHLO value is set in the MailEnable administration program, under the SMTP properties, under the General tab. You should replace this with a valid domain, such as mail.example.com (i.e. the domain for the mail server, which resolves correctly...

Re: BUG REPORT: MailEnable installer incorrectly resets postoffice location registry keys

Hi,

I could emulate the problem. The "Mail Root" registry path is updated but the other two aren't. They are older keys (the mail root on was replacing the other) must still be used in places. I've raised the issue for the developers to fix. Should be in the next minor update.

Re: Prevent "Message Delivery Delay" messages

Hi, The SMTP Delivery options control this. In the administration program, expand the Servers->localhost->Connectors and Services branch, right click on the SMTP icon and select Properties from the popup menu. Click the Delivery tab and there are options for the delay notifications. By default, only...

Re: Host screening by ELHO/HELO initial conversation

Hi, This is available as a registry key in version 8.56 and later. It does not do wildcards yet though. But you can add a list of ones you want to block. The registry key required is below and takes a string value of the items you want to block. Separate them with a comma: For 32bit Windows: [HKEY_L...

Re: Time zone issue on Calendar: Bogota, Lima, Quito, Rio Br

We don't assume it is to do with you. Our first response was to ask you for the information we needed in order to solve the issue, as we could not emulate it with the information you initially supplied. You didn't want to supply us with the info. Contacting our support persons a year ago likely woul...
