Good afternoon Andy, I do not quite understand what you're really meaning with the issue of "I can send emails to the server all day long as long as I use a from address that's defined in MailEnable". Are you talking about sending e-mail using the webmail or from Outlook/Outlook Express? I am assumi...

Usually if it is completely random and you're using the same computer and same Internet browser it could be having problems due to traffic load on the network and/or on the server. This is pending of course if you're doing that regular routine tasks with MailEnable both during the times it works and...

I ran into the similar problem when specifying the use of the Default versus the Standard Enterprise within the Mail Enable Admin. I liked the skins of the default, but I couldn't get them to work well with the Enterprise drop-down listing, so we just stayed with Enterprise skin and are eagerly wait...

SPAM control

Fortunately for you, MailEnable has some great SPAM control. One of the ways I help fight off the possibility of SPAM is knowing that usually the person(s) are sending bulk messages. You can restrict how many message within an hour. I have our's set to like 10-30 to limit the possibility of someone ...

Spell Check

Spell check would be cool in the Web version or even if you can have the capability of having it on or off always so if it is on, it will automatically check all message prior to sending them.

Norton AntiVirus 9.0 Enterprise

We have been using Norton AntiVirus 9.0 Enterprise on our servers. Despite the installation instructions mentioning for us to turn it off for run-time or real-time scanning, we have actually kept it on and just kept the antivirus scanning from Mail Enable off. So far the viruses have been stopped an...

agreement

I agree that sending the messages Plain Text seems to work quite well where sending e-mail as HTML sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Usually I am having problems with spacing (like adding double or triple spacing between lines). But that is off and on. Who knows, maybe my computer was having a ...

Mine works

So far my AutoResponder works with the exception of the e-mail addresses coming from either spammers or a server that doesn't receive e-mail.

I've found it much easier to do all the user account additions and whatnot by the actual console on the server rather than using the web interface. It seems to be more reliable and true in what you want to do.

The DLLHost service is what runs your ASP applications. One option helps fix some of that problem; however, the second option is better, easier, and cheaper but requires a bit of down time. The first option is to use ECC RAM on your server. The second option is to reboot the server. You can also kil...

I am getting messages that look like what is below when sent using the webmail. Also, the "Contacts" are not showing and when you click on a message in the Sent Items, all that displays is the headers and no content. <HEAD> </HEAD> <BODY link='blue' vlink='purple'><BR><BR><BR><B>----- Original Messa...

I'll give it a try

Thanks for the suggestion; I'll give that a try. It is indeed occurring with all of the mail accounts. The Inbox loads fine, but when you click on the Deleted Items it takes forever and usually times out. Sometimes also the webmail doesn't like it when you click on New Messages or Check Mail to see ...

Those who use DSL

For those of you who are using your DSL to check your e-mail which resides on a mail enable server, SBC came out with a new policy (although not really public and others have joined in on this) that port 25 is disabled. Typically your outgoing mail server will be mail.yourservername.com; however, if...
