Re: MEIMAPS service using all the resources
An update on this. I have also seen that the MAC Mail and Outlook for MAC, as well as any other mail clients on a MAC, are opening and leaving open 25 - 50 connections to the IMAP service. I only have one user that runs a MAC, and the iPhone and iPad don't seem to have this issue. The IMAP service w...

Re: MEIMAPS service using all the resources
I went back through all my log files, and I found the most unlikely culprit ever. I found that the evening before this problem started, Adobe Reader did an update. I ignored it the first time through, because, why would that have anything to do with it? But, after people started to complain that the...

MEIMAPS service using all the resources
Hello all, I have been having a problem where the MEIMAPS service is eating up all the system resources of my server. It pushes the processor to 97% and is using 10 out of 16 gb of RAM. I can restart the service, and it goes back to normal for about ten minutes, then kicks back into high gear. This ...

Re: Outlook constantly loosing connection and reconnecting
I tried that on Saturday. The problem continues. I have since tried uninstalling and reinstalling outlook as well, to no avail.

Outlook constantly loosing connection and reconnecting
Hello all, I have one computer that is always loosing it's connection to the mail server and then a minute or two later it reconnects, most of the time. Sometimes it looses the connection and never reconnects. When that happens I have to disable and reenable the network adapter. The computer is runn...

SSL Questions
I am going to be getting an SSL cert in the near future, and I had some questions since I have never configured one before. 1. I have one domain that handles my mail server and webmail site, mail.company.com and mail.company.com/webmail, can I use one certificate for both? Or do I have to have separ...

Re: Invalid Email Account Login Attempts
I have similar problems on my server, and we host only ourselves with about 3 dozen email addresses. Yet, I still see hundreds of attempts by hackers to login in using both invalid addresses and valid addresses they have been able to figure out. I block all the ip's that fail attempts to invalid add...

Re: Bad Mail after Hard Drive failure
Actually, I solved this right after I posted. A light bulb went off in my head. Doesn't happen very often, mind you, but it was very bright. 100 watt spotlight kind of a thing. I enabled the drop folder in the SMTP properties, then I moved all of the mail in the bad mail folder to the Drop folder on...

Bad Mail after Hard Drive failure
Hi Guys, The hard Drive that contained my message store crashed and burned yesterday morning, and while I was in the process of getting the backup online, all the incoming mail ended up in the bad mail folder. Is there anyway I can get those messages to go where they are supposed to? I'm hoping I do...

Re: X-ME-BADMAIL : POSTMASTERLOOP, Postmaster Null Sender Loop Detected
Hi,
Just from the little bit of info here, it sounds like the postmaster email address hasn't been defined for something. It may not be enabled, or it may not be in the settings everywhere it needs to be.

Re: Upswing in spam
I have also seen a huge uptick in SPAM over the last week or so. I spent about 2 hours manually entering IP's into the blacklist, I have no idea how many. I tightened the MXscan restrictions, I added popular words in the SPAM to the global keyword filter, and I increased the number of threads all in...

Re: MAPI Issues
I've found the same thing with the 2014 version of Avast!. Turning off the mail scanner solved the problem. I haven't worked with the 2015 version yet, but when I do I'll post any solutions I find here. The other thing I did notice with it was that with a few computers, I would make the changes, clo...

Re: Iphone EAS issues after upgrade to 8.54
Ian, This problem has cropped up again. It looks like this time it's only happening on emails that are replied to using the Android mail client. New messages seem to be ok. It doesn't matter if the message was originally sent from the iPhone, Android or from Outlook. I'm really hoping you can help w...

Re: Iphone EAS issues after upgrade to 8.54
Ian, Thank you for all your help. It looks like the problem has resolved itself. I tried replicating the issue to get a fresh message to send you, and it wouldn't replicate. After doing a little investigating, I found that the device I was using to replicate, the one that the original message came f...
