Re: Lock inbound to 1 IP for 1 postoffice

I think this is a horrible failing. Half my postoffices are on a spam filter, half are not. Those that are still get spam because I cannot block the IP connecting to send them the spam (bypassing the filter) without cutting off those that do not have a filter. This leaves the server open to spam reg...

What is the difference between a soft fail and a SPF failure (which are getting denied).

SPF Softfail?

Even though I have SPF validation enabled this email still came through with the following in its header: Received-SPF: softfail (xxx.com: transitioning domain of 139.com does not designate 111.78.35.186 as permitted sender) client-ip=111.78.35.186; Why, if it sees its not a permitted sender, did it...

Lock inbound to 1 IP for 1 postoffice

I have a configuration with, perhaps, 60 post offices. Some of these have external spam solutions that block the spam before hitting our server. Ideally the server should only receive mail for these post offices from the spam filter source IP and nowhere else but I cannot do this (obviously) globall...

Cannot configutre autodiscover on multiple postoffices

I've read and reread the instructions on the main web site and in the forums and I cannot seem to get this to function on anything other than the main postoffice. Here's what I want to do: Main postoffice (call it "main.com") is configured with ssl. The autodiscover settings (in the ActiveSync Manag...

Deallocate user

I know the license for an activesync mailbox is for a year and cannot be removed until then but... how do I remove it at the end of the year. I have a couple users who no longer want activesync. How can I deallocate it?

Force exchange use

Is there any way to force a user to connect via active sync and nothing else? I cannot arbitrarily turn off imap or pop support for everyone, just this one user?

PC only access

Ok here's another problem. I have another customer that only wants people to have access to their postoffice from their office. I know this would be an IP restriction. Can I do this somehow even though I have many postoffices?

Thanks!

Autodiscover Primer (Multiple Postoffices) please help

I have autodiscover working for my main (company) domain. No problem: domain1.com. SSL enabled and functioning Now I have about 30 other domains that would like this to function but lets just talk about the first one. Domain2.com. I have configured domain2.com with the SRV record (identical to domai...

Schedule access?

I have a customer who is pretty adamant about allowing access to their mail during office hours only. Is there any way you can think of that would facilitate a schedule of some sort to only allow people to log in to read email at certain times of the day?

Expensive. I'd rather make my own. Simple enough to do.

Re: Server used for sending spam ... again...

You order to prevent spammers from being able to send large amounts of messages if a mailbox is compromised you really need to enable the option under the SMTP security tab for "Limit number of recipients per hour to". This will limit the amount of messages that can be sent per hour by your server....
