Interesting someone with so much Exchange experience saying Outlook is crap. I agree which is why I am not supporting it anymore with my users.
I also have been in IT a long time, since 1977 and started as a hardware design engineer with Wang Labs.

Re: Outlook and IMAP very Slow
Not paying for ME or MS support to fix their issue. It's ME who should be on a support call with MS, not me. Not an issue anymore since everyone is willing to switch to TB or webmail. Problem solved. Besides, I am not the one with issues, remote users are. So next to impossible to debug on a support...

Re: Outlook and IMAP very Slow
I just took the easy approach and told all users to switch to Thunderbird and import from Outlook. I don't have the time to deal with this issue anymore. Thunderbird supports CardDAV/CalDAV and address books. The newest version, 78, has everything my users require and is very fast even with huge mai...

Re: Filter order
What you meant is add the same authenticated users rule and add the stop processing filters action to the top of any PO or mailbox rule that has filters. That is good to know and would be nice if it was completely explained in one of your docs. So some global filters actions have no effect on PO or ...

Re: Outlook and IMAP very Slow
Common item here seems to be Server 2019 which is suppose to be faster than 2016. Maybe Outlook is looking for Exchange because of something Server 2019 responds to? Just grasping at this point. And you are correct, large mailboxes are MUCH slower than small ones. Why is that? The only reasonable an...

Re: Very slow IMAP
Anyone? Thunderbird and webmail works fine. Outlook is slow. My customers need outlook because of their calendars and personal folders.

Re: Outlook and IMAP very Slow
Have to backtrack on that last post. MAPI is also slow. Thunderbird is quick and works as expected as does webmail, but Outlook is very slow. Just sent an email in Outlook and it was in the outbox for 2 minutes before it got sent out. What's going on? My ME version is 10.31 and Outlook is 2016. Anot...

Re: Filter order
Are you sure it works that way? My first global filter is stop processing filters for authenticated senders. Then I have a PO filter to put .doc attachments to spam. Any email I send, I am an authenticated user, with a .doc attachment goes to the Junk E-Mail. If I add stop processing filters for aut...

External Word List File for Post Office filter
How do I use an External Word List File for a Post Office filter? That field is grayed out for me. Works fine in the Global filter.

Filter order
Using 10.31 Enterprise. I tested this, and Post Office filters have priority over Global Filters. Is this the way it is suppose to be? I could not find anywhere what the filter priority order is. From my tests the priority is Mailbox>Post Office>Global Is there any way to have all active mailboxes e...

Purge Junk E-mail
Is there any way that works to purge the Junk E-mail after, let's say, 5 days? I have resolved doing all other email with an external program, but that program is not feasible for just the Junk folders. MEPURGE doesn't work Agent doesn't work Come on ME support. Fix this! Seems from other posts this...

Gave up on mailenable doing the purge. Nothing works. Using a program called 'Remove Old Files'. That works perfectly.

What was the result of the support ticket?
MEPURGE is not working for me either. Has the correct path but output.txt shows no mail in every folder.
