Hi, The certificate does not have the associated private key when you imported the SSL. You can check this by right clicking on the refros.com certificate under the certificate store. You should have an option for All Tasks > Manage Private Keys. If that option is not there then that means you canno...

How do they connect to the server? What email client and protocols are they connecting to? I.e: via POP or IMAP? Also check if the user has not configured a POP retrieval and is popping messages to it self. Have you analysed the SMTP log files to see where the messages are originating from?

Ok, used your details and was able to create "new group1". Add a contact to the group and was able to compose and send to the group.

There were no fixes in this area to address your problem from 10.37 to 10.40 that I'm aware of. I don't have your test login details handy therefore if you can PM them to me again I can check.

I'm unable to emulate this problem. My steps are: I create a new group in web mail contacts named "New Group". Add a contact to the group. Compose a new message and then type New Group in the TO field. I hit send and it works.

I cant see how they can blame the mail server when there is clearly no attempt to authenticate. They have not issued the AUTH or STARTTLS command in the activity log snippet you have shown. If there was evidence of an authentication attempt then we could troubleshoot but there isnt.

Have you tried contacting Xerox support and provide then with copies of the SMTP log file clearly showing that its not sending the AUTH command even though you have set the device to authenticate via SMTP?

Hi, What is logged within the SMTP Debug log at the time of the failure with the RCPT command? From the log snippet you provided the scanning device is not authenticating and issuing the AUTH (or STARTTLS) command to the service. Are you sure you have SMTP authentication enabled in the Xerox scanner...
