What were the messages like? Did they look like spam or legitimate email? What if anything can you tell me about these outbound emails in the following directory:
\Queues\SMTP\Outgoing\Messages
You can open a message up in Notepad if you still have any.

When using IMAP a deletion is only a mark as deletion (line through in web mail). You need to get the email client to purge the deleted items after this mark as deleted has occured.

You can make sure that your .NET settings are setup to the best settings as below. If these do not help then you can diagnose these errors a bit more usually by checking the server event logs at the time of the error. It is just a proxy so you set it up on another server or on the same server with a binding to a different IP. You then get all your SMTP traffic to goto Djigzo then relay it onto the MailEnable server IP. On the outbound you "Smart Host" all mail from MailEnable to the IP of the Djigzo server.

You may need to find out from the recipient email address server admin why they are blocking your client IP and not looking at your server IP.
