Thanks, Ian. I have indeed updated Pro and set up the new AV filtering, so I think we're covered there.

Thanks for the reassurance.

Upgrade process - Pro to Ent

How smooth is the upgrade process? If I download Enterprise and install it on top of Pro, how long will my mail server be down before I can configure everything?

What do I HAVE TO configure after the upgrade? I'm currently using MEFilter and Frisk Virus Protection with ME Pro.

Any gotcha's?

TIA

SQL Resource Utilization

I was more thinking of the MailEnable SQL-implementation and not the SQL server itself. :-) Anyone who uses the SQL as storage successfully or not? /Christian SQL Server can be a resource hog on most pre-Win2003 O/S's - but I understand that Win 2003 controls SQL resource utilization much better. I...

SendMessage Documentation wrong?

API Guide indicates that SendMessage() returns "zero for failure and number greater than zero for success" When I send successfully, it's returning "-1" - and when I turn off relaying to force an error condition, it returns a zero and an error messge. Are the docs wrong? What is the correct sets of ...

Have done - so far, so good. Thanks, Ian.

BTW - installation hung as it was adding (editing?) win 2003 users and settings. I used task manager to shut down those processes after waiting quite awhile. Seems to run fine despite tose hangups.

Destroy MEMail.Message object after each send - or not?

When I'm sending a series of emails, should I create and destroy the Message object for each message, or can I create the object once and just pound away at it in a loop to send the messages?

Do API development on local machine w/o local license?

OK, I'm ready to do some API work with MailEnable. I have a Prof license on my web server, but of course I do development on my local machine before posting it on the server.

So... What do I need to copy and register on my development machine to be able to develop and test with the ME API?

TIA

Speed up SMTP receipt?

I have an application that sends out email notifications to registered users who request them. I use SMTP to send each email individually to my MEPro server, and record the resulting message from the SMTP server if it fails. I have included the application's IP address in allowed relayers, but I als...
