Solved! I was a bit sleepy and could not think sober. I just added the new domain under POSTOFICES -> DOMAINS, then Mailenable asked me if I want to add the new domain alias to all existing mailboxes (that was the step I was asking for to automate), and now all mailboxes work for in- and out-bound m...

Unknown ERROR - SMTP refusing to send mail

On my mail server, latest ME Pro 1.74, I get errors sending mail FROM some specified domains. I can send from some domains, but from others not, but I see no difference in settings for those domains. ME returns mail with UNKNOWN ERROR: The following recipient(s) could not be reached: Recipient: [SMT...

Of course you could filter on *.exe* this will cover all variants. And judging on what I have seen not many if any people sent txt docs so you could even filter on that also *.txt. Ben, if you read my previous article, and especially the given link, you would know, that filter has a BUG and if you ...

If you want to activate filter on *.txt.exe, yes, it is to add this as attachment extension. But there are TOO many variants, for example: file.txt.exe file.txt .exe file.txt .txt.com.exe etc... So, there is NO POINT to add double extensions in filter, since there are too many of them Instead, I sug...

As I run the script, I had to remove *.MAI from the 5th line in order to run properly. Otherways, I got "Path not found" error: Original line (BOLD is problematic): For /f "delims=/" %%a in (2dellist.txt)do del "%%a \*.mai " /f /q Modified line: For /f "delims=/" %%a in (2dellist.txt)do del "%%a" /f...

It is not usual practice to keep backup mail on server. It is user's concern what and how to backup. If you would do as you suggested, leaving all messages on server, mail retreival and mailbox processing will become slower and slower. I have one such user, with 24.000 + mails in their mailboxes. It...

I fully support this idea. Furthermore, in the future it would be a good idea also to consider some kind of per-user management added. I did automation script: - if recipients mail gets quarantined, recipient receives a mail message, which informs him/her of quarantine reason. - in this mail announc...

Attachments filtering BUG

Attachment filter in ME has a bug. When you specify which extensions to trigger this rule, ME does not look for extension, but actually for presence of this string, which is WRONG, for example: You set to filter all attachments with extensions: *.com The filter trigers on: file_name.com filename.som...

As I understand, combination of spamd and spamc are used in some server-to-server environment, where spamd runs on machine, which actually hosts spamassassin application, and spamc connects to this machine and issues just a query, whether mail is a SPAM or not. Now, regarding to your post, it seems ...

I host 200 domains with few 1000 mailboxes, appr. 20.000 mails/day, and I use McAfee. Works pretty good.
