Thank you! I really appreciate it!.. To try something desperate, I installed the new version 3. It's installed on another computer, on another network and behind another firewall, so not really a indicator, but no problems yet. I'm getting mails from gmail, so that's good. I guess I might try and in...

Ok, I think I've found one of the entries in the debug log: 10/05/07 12:16:14 ME-E0069: (recv) socket [892] disconnection from host 64.233.166.182 before any command received. Error: (10060) What is this error 10060 ?? I get quite a lot of these. It doesn't look like an error on the server?? And wha...

SMTP incoming problems?

I'm on version 2 of ME Pro, and have been for years (and version 1 before that). I have had very few problems with the mail server, but lately some of my clients complain that users have problems mailing them. First off the problems were mainly with GMail (connection timeout), but now I have problem...

The MESpamC log shows a few "errors", all right after a reset of the server. So this is certainly not the problem, as it is several e-mails almost everyday that lacks the SA headers.

I'll try and take a look at the logs on the *nix images (if I can locate it)..

New version great..!! I'm getting a number of e-mails (spam) that is not getting caught, which is not really a big surprise, but the surprise is that the e-mails are not tagged at all, no headers from SA. What could cause this? I'm using MESpamC and the SpamAssassin *nix (vmware?) image. Thanks in a...

MESpamC /SAVASM stopped working. Help!

I'm hoping someone can help me with this, before I'm flooded with spam.! I moved my server yesterday, and everything seemed to work fine. I forgot to change the DNSs of SAVASM (I was using one on the old private net), so when I started getting lots of spam I thought that was the problem. That fixed ...

Thank you, but that does not explain why a message that is marked as ham (not spam), by: X-ME-Bayesian: 0.006428 still is being caught by the filter I made that should only catch all with a score above 95%.

Thanks,
Steen

Plz do NOT remove the option for RDNS and SPF to work at SMTP level. I want my server to return 5xx status to the sender, so they know that something is wrong with the server they are sending through. No need to create more traffic by sending messages back to them, let their own server handle it! re...

ME Pro 2.32 Filter marks all as spam.

Normally I'm okay with computers, but I don't understand this. I'm using ME Pro v2.32, and have just configured Bayesian for it (created my own dictionary with 6000+ spam and a bunch of ham messages). When I look at the message headers (X-ME-Bayesian:) everything thing seems fine, the spam messages ...

I'm guessing that the mail server is doing a reverse DNS look-up. Trying to find the domain that belongs to your IP.. I've seen several places doing this (G-mail, yahoo or aol). The work-around would be to assign a name to the IP (if you have the IP in your own DNS) or ask your provider to do it. re...

It can not be done on SMTP level, only AFTER the e-mail has been received by SMTP.
