First you must have the Enterprise version of MailEnable. If you do have Enterprise then you'll have to use the Enterprise base to be able to change postoffices.

Sounds like your ISP is blocking Port 25, or you have a firewall blocking port 25. I believe this is way off topic for MailEnable, your better off asking php questions on a PHP discussion board. And my recommendation would be for you to upgrade your php 3 code to run under php5.

Yeah, MailEnable seems to overwrite any exisiting VB runtime libraries installed in your system. It appears MailEnable is using Visual Basic 6.0 SP6, and you are running the older Service Pack 5. I'd recommend updating to SP6, so you don't have to re-install the runtime libraries over and over again...

I would recommend installing version 2 on the new machine and just migrate everyone over. The upgrade can be headache and no since of having your users go through the headaches of stuff not working right because of upgrade issues.

The service apparently only runs for 3 days after that it terminates and quits working.

ALLPRO, once MailEnable releases the API for the .NET Webmail I am planning on developing my own web interface, and will probably setup a project out on sourceforge.net, so everyone can contribute to making the webmail feature alot better.
