W7 x64 and Outlook 2003

Post by sgirard »

I am trying to use the MAPI connector on several new machines running W7x64. We are installing Office 2003.

What is happening is, the ME account we add tries to create its PST file in the 64bit location, not accessible to Outlook 2003.

When you open Outlook, you get a message that Outlook cannot find the default folders.

Help!

Anyone? I have a whole batch of new computers that are stuck using IMAP and can't synch calendars and contacts.

Outlook 2003 is 32 bit outlook, so you would need to install the 32 bit connector. We see many machines with this configuration, so there must be something else occuring. Which connector version are you installing (the 32 bit or 64 bit one)?
Maybe raise a ticket (under the defect category) so we can get the logs and or perhaps teamviewer into a machine to inspect what is occuring. Thanks.
Regards, Andrew
