We are a small non-profit and there are 9 of us on the committee who wish to share our calendars for scheduling efficiency. We don't want to share mail folders. We run Enterprise 6.03 (not premium) so I understand that we are restricted to 5 connector licences so I need to pick the most "important" 5 of us. I've downloaded and installed v1.41 of the connector on my home Outlook 2010 32 bit but can't seem to configure it properly (or understand what I'm doing for that matter). The documentation doesn't provide enough detail for me, as a novice mail administrator, to understand how it all hangs together. Our existing accounts are currently pop/smtp so do I have to delete these in Outlook and recreate them as a mapi account through the Mailenable Server option? I assume the calendar is created locally so do I need to publish the iCalendar to the mail server as per section 5 of the Enterprise Guide? I assume also that calendar sharing won't work for business accounts that are redirected to private accounts.
We also want to create a public contact folder and make this available to all users. I note that a previous post suggests creating a "companyshare" account. Do we need to create this account (as a mapi account) on our respective Outlooks to access public contacts and a corporate calendar?
Any help in pointing me in the right direction, and/or some diagrams, would really be appreciated.
