Access to requested resource was denied

Post by Matth »

Hi

I tried to install a new Outlook 2013 with the 64-bit MAPI connector, but I keep getting the following error message:

Access to the requested resource was denied. Please verify that you have been granted full access to the resource <mail address>.

The password is certainly correct, and I can't seem to find any problems on the server side either. Neither normal nor SSL access works, but I'm sure that the password and other settings are correct.

The logfile says the following:

2013-10-20 22:44:18.155 ME-IXXXX: (5340) [ConfigureService] Configuration dialog returned IDOK.
2013-10-20 22:44:18.156 ME-IXXXX: (5340) [IMAP_Connect] Attempting to connect to server <maildomain>:993.

2013-10-20 22:44:20.216 ME-WXXXX: (5340) [CONNECTION_HANDLER::Connect] Unable to connect to server. Error: 1001
2013-10-20 22:44:20.216 ME-WXXXX: (5340) [ConfigureService] Access to the requested resource was denied. Please verify that you have been granted full access to the resource: <mail address>.

Is there anything that the server needs to have licences setup?

The server is a Enterprise Premium Edition 7.53

Any hints are highly welcome.

Thanks
Matthias

Thanks to help from support I could solve the problem.

Under Advanced Configuration, I entered the mailbox (in the Mailbox tab) wrong. I had entered the full mail address, as in the login. But the mailbox needs only the part before the @-sign. With that little change it worked like a charm.

Hope that helps you too.
