Install Permissions

Post by cmathre »

Hello,

We are trying to install the MAPI connector on a computer with very locked down user permissions. The OS is Win 7 and they are using Outlook 2010 (32 bit). The connector will not receive mail and will not show the "Add-ins" tab in outlook when logged in as a standard user. However, when logged in as a domain admin it will work correctly. Also, when logged into the terminal server as a standard user, Outlook 2007 works fine with the connector. What permissions does the connector need in order to work correctly for Outlook 2010?

Thanks

We are having the same issue with Win 7 and Outlook 2013. Works fine if the user is an Admin but does not work for standard users.

Any ideas?

The MAPI connector was installed with full Administrative rights.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anybody from MailEnable to answer this issue?

This is a serious issue as most of our users are Domain users setup as Standard users on the machines and have no Administrative rights.

The MAPI connector is not working unless the user has Administrative rights.

Can anyone help? Please?

Thanks.
