Connector no longer works after patching

My computer did the big microsoft patch and now I cannot receive any emails in outlook. I deleted the account and uninstalled the connector, the reinstalled and re-added the account to no avail. So the connector is not compatible with the latest patches? or is there something else wrong?

I found that the patch disabled the open protocols connector (mailenable). So I re-enabled it and we're good to go.
