Missing Display Name in Reply-To field when sending from Outlook

Post by geotek »

When sending Emails from Outlook via MailEnable Connector for Outlook V.2.7.5 the Reply-To field in the SMTP message header only shows the sender's email address but misses a Display Name.

This causes the human readable name to disapear when replying to those emails.

Is this a deficiency in the MailEnable Connector for Microsoft Outlook or in Mailenable and if so, when will it be solved?

IMO one solution would be to have an option in Mailenable that would automatically copy the Display Name from the "From" field to the "Reply-To" field if it is empty an if the Reply-To address is identical to the from address. This would also be beneficial for IMAP clients that are carelessly configured with an incomplete Reply-To field.
