EAS and mail app windows 8.1

Before the update from windows 8 to 8.1 we could use EAS to connect from the mail app to the ME server.
After the update using the same credentials we are unable to connect.
Connecting from Outlook 2013 and from other devices like smart phone (iOs & Android) or tablets (Android) still works fine using EAS.

any idea?

Did you ever find a solution to this?

I just bought a Windows 8.1 tablet and it just says it can't connect. It seems to me it should work.

still no solution; use Outlook 2013 on windows 8.1

yes I can try it again...
seems to work fine under windows 8.1 and Mail Enable 8.52
