Issues after Password Encryption

I enabled password encryption today after speaking with a couple of my users.

All seems to work great for the basic services but webdav and caldav dont take up the new settings.

I had to reboot to get webdav and caldav to start working again.

Should the "enable" process not sort this issue ?

Hi,

I would of thought the password encryption procedure would have restarted the "Synchronization (MEHTTPS.EXE)" service after encrypting the passwords. Perhaps this didn't happen. Did you try to restart the synchronization service before restarting the server?

No I must admit I did not, as I was not sure what it was and no services where stopped from what I could see, hence the reboot.

Yeah my guess is that the sync service wasn't restarted. Ill check with the devs on my side to see if this is the case and raise an issue if need be. Just keep in mind for next time I suppose to restart all services manually.
