Services crashing

Postby RichardF » Wed Jan 27, 2016 2:41 pm

Hello,

My mail server started to behave strangely.

Pop, Imap, SMTP services are crashing randomly (about once a day). I can see this message like this one in event log "The MailEnable POP Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s)."

Is there any known issue in ME V9.0 ? How can I debug what makes it crash? There is no lot of information in system log.
Its on server 2012R2, and it was upgraded to v9 from version 8.51

thank you

Hi,

No other reports of services crashing. You will need to lodge a support ticket under the category of "Defect" so a technician to review your server in more detail and determine why the services are crashing.

Thank you,

more investigation leads me to IMAP service.

It starts to consume all available RAM and lot of CPU until it crash along with other services.

Hi,

Are you running Standard 9.03? If not then upgrade and reassess. If the services still chews ram then lodge a ticket under "Defect and provide access to the server via RDP or Teamviewer for further analysis.
