Will I lose all my pose post offices if uninstall and reinstall?

Post by simonwigzell »

I need to uninstall Professional and install Standard. Will I lose all my post offices and mailboxes?

(My server came with Professional installed but that is version 1.?? and there are security issues but I have been advised to update to the latest but, at least as far as I can see, I cannot upgrade Professional without purchasing it. If this is not true, please let me know how to update without repurchasing! $350 is a lot for a little guy like me. )

Please review the following article on how to downgrade: http://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/ar ... D=me020375

Tried this didnt work.

Could uninstall successfully but when I rebooted and tried to install Standard Edition gave me "setup has detected that Mailenable professional is installed...."

So I assume its registry keys or the folder still existing in c:\program files(x86)/mail enable.

Reinstalling professional for now as still have some time left.

Hi,

When Professional eventually reaches the end of the evaluation period it will revert to Standard edition settings anyway so no need to downgrade. You will still be bale to send/receive emails etc. The only options/services that will not work are the ones not included in Standard edition.
