How to notify user when URL blacklisting is active.

Post by galove »

Hello,

I have setup my mailenable server and checked "Enable URL Blacklisting" option and selected "Don't accept the email" as action.

But when an email detected and deleted, receiving mailbox and sender is not notified about this delete operation. So user thinks he/she can not get e-mails from some specific addresses. Or sender thinks he/she has sent the e-mail successfully.

What is the best way to solve this problem.

Hi,

In Professional and Enterprise versions you have the ability to create message content filters (there is only a filter criteria to trigger on URL blacklist detections). For URL blacklisting notifications for the receiving mailbox you could create a filter and detect for URL blacklist detections and add an action to "Notify Recipient".

"Where the message contains a URL to a blacklisted IP address" - https://www.mailenable.com/documentatio ... teria.html

The sender of the message should have received a bounce message by default indicating the message was rejected by the server for both URL and DNS blacklisting detections.

Check under the SMTP properties within the "Delivery" tab and ensure that the options for "Failure notifications" are enabled.
