I need help configuring my server
I need help configuring my server
I'm relatively new to the whole configuring a server thing. I have it set up where I can send and receive emails from other users on my server but I can't email to an outside domain. I've read the article https://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/a ... D=ME020239 but it's too vague. I need specific instructions explained. Also, I would like to know if there is a way to transfer emails from my Gmail account to a mailenable user on my server easily without forwarding each email. I set up forwarding on my account when it was set up with a different server and it wasn't working correctly. It wasn't pushing all of the emails through and I would like to recover the ones that did. Ahhh I need help !!! Thanks!

Re: I need help configuring my server
Hi,
The article you pointed out is for when you are unable to receive from remote mail servers and not for problems sending outgoing mail from your server. For outgoing problems please see: http://www.mailenable.com/kb/content/ar ... D=me020148
One way to migrate your messages from your Gmail account would be to setup your Gmail account to connect via Outlook and connect either via POP or IMAP. Once you have connected and downloaded your mail to Outlook from your Gmail account you can then export the "Inbox" folder to a ".PST" file. Once exported you can then create a new Outlook profile and setup the MailEnable account to connect via IMAP and use the Outlook import option to import from the backup Gmail PST file. This should then push the messages up to the MailEnable server.
