Very slow IMAP

Post by TermiTV »

Hello,

i am on Version 10.27 on Windows Server 2016 x64 and IMAP is very slow. It takes 30-60 seconds to update my IMAP on iOS, Android and Outlook (W10). Webmail is working just fine. Any Ideas on how to fix this? Maybe allocate some more ressources for IMAP?

Greetings
Martin

Hi,

First step is to download 10.29 and upgrade MailEnable as it contains fixes you need to apply to core services in particular the IMAP service.

Hello Ian, we are on ME 10.30 Pro and are still seeing very poor IMAP performance specifically on larger mailboxes. One of our iPhone users states that it can take up to 2-3 mins to refresh his inbox. Can you provide any guidance?

Hi,

We would need access to log files and the server to troubleshoot in more detail (you will need to lodge a support ticket for this). If you have AV software on the client machine then try to disable the email filtering in the AV app. Try another IMAP email client.

I am still seeing the same issues with IMAP being very slow in on large mailboxes.

I have a number of client installs setup with and without AV installed and it does not seem to make much difference.

The one thing I have found is the more email changes it needs to resolve, the slower it gets and the more likely to freeze.

Have you got anywhere with this, I am still having trouble and testing all sorts to try to get to the bottom of it.

Hi Martyn,

Might be best replying to your open ticket for more information. Did the client we were testing complete the sync? If so did it exhibit the same behavior so we can check it again?

Ian, I will reply to my ticket, just asking if the other person got anywhere.

I need to get time to go run my tests, everything is ready now, just need to get away from work.

On version 10.31 and IMAP in Outlook is very slow. Doing one user now with 30,000 emails in their postoffice. It will probably take more than 24 hours to complete. coming in at the rate of 50-60 per minute.

Any solution to this yet?

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 35ms, Maximum = 50ms, Average = 40ms

Anyone? Thunderbird and webmail works fine. Outlook is slow. My customers need outlook because of their calendars and personal folders.

Hello Mailenable Team,

Same here as the IMAP connection is hogging where user-facing slowness on receiving emails on Outlook? Something to do with current patch 11.31?

I log in to the ME online service account and noticed there is a beta version. Is it new fix apply as saw it fix on the IMAP performance?
