mailing doesnt work

Post by deheugden » Sat May 30, 2020 12:44 pm

I need some help withj the mailing part. I am testing mailenable right now.

My domainname is a .local addres. I cannt use that for emailing'. I do have a domainname, but that has no mailoption. So i thought i could use mailenable(added my domainname in mailenable managemt/domains, but i still cannot email.
So i think i need to add a relay server to send the emails outside. If so, which relayserver do i need to use?

Also, the testaccounts i created in my domain for the .local address cannot email. I thought they should be able to do that, i dont think an external relayserver is necessary to e-mail internal.
Any help would be apreciated.

Hi,

You should be able to send outbound. Although without using a fully qualified domain you may have problems sending to remote mails servers as they will perform look ups on your domain to see if its from a valid domain. The first step is to inspect the SMTP log files to see what is happening when your sending the message. What email client are you using to send? Are there any errors?
